About

Carmen Chavez is the Legal Assistant at Impact Matters, where she supports the full legal team across a wide range of transactional, values-based, and social enterprise matters. As the firm’s sole administrative support staff, Carmen works closely with attorneys and clients alike to manage case files, coordinate communications, and ensure smooth
day-to-day operations.

Prior to joining Impact Matters Law, Carmen worked at a boutique law office specializing in immigration and family law. Throughout all her past spheres of employment, Carmen maintains a consistent strong commitment to service—prioritizing thoughtfulness, reliability, and integrity above all.

A proud Southern California native, Carmen holds a B.A. from UCLA and is currently pursuing her paralegal certificate at UCLA Extension. She is excited to be building her legal career at a firm at the intersection of law, business, creativity, and social impact. Carmen envisions a lasting career as a paralegal, with the hope of remaining in values-driven, creative business environments in alignment with where she is now. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and film culture.

Through thoughtful and responsive lawyering, we welcome, inspire, and sustain the vitality and rebellion of our clients.
