Señoras for Housing
When a group of four women-led families had an opportunity to take over ownership of their Koreatown property, our team was engaged to help lead the organization of one of the first limited equity housing cooperatives to be created in Los Angeles in decades, which came to be known as Señoras for Housing. We have helped coach the tenants through a wide range of organizational, corporate governance, and compliance matters, and led key negotiations with government authorities and the community land trust that currently owns the property to help position the cooperative for sustainable and secure affordability, hopefully for generations to come.
