FAQ about Impact Matters Law LLP Name Change and Rebrand

  1. Why did we decide to rebrand?

We decided to rebrand to better align our name, image, and messaging with our core principles and mission. This change reflects our commitment to values-aligned lawyering that is at the root of our modern approach to client service.

  1. What changes can clients expect from the rebrand?

Clients can expect a refreshed visual identity, including a new logo and updated website. Our commitment to delivering quality legal services remains unchanged, but our communication and branding will better reflect our services and values-aligned approach.

  1. Will there be any changes in the services offered?

No, the services we provide will remain the same. The rebrand focuses on how we present ourselves and market those services, aiming to enhance your overall experience with us.

  1. How will the name change affect my existing case or legal matters?

Your ongoing matters will not be affected by our name change. Your point of contact and the resources available to you will remain the same. Our goal is to ensure continuity and support throughout this transition.

  1. Do I need to take any steps to update my corporate files (e.g. with the California Secretary of State)?

We do not currently expect that any action will be needed by you. To the extent that we are authorized to file documents, such as the annual Statement of Information, on your behalf, we will update the Secretary of State regarding any necessary changes.

  1. Do I need / will you notify any of my contractual counterparties about this?

No notification will be needed at this time. We have taken steps to ensure that all physical mail and email will continue to reach us even if addressed to our prior name or email addresses, so there should be no impact on our service to you or your relationships with your contractual counterparties. Our mailing address remains the same.

  1. What will happen to my U.S. Patent & Trademark Office records?

We will file a law firm name change with USPTO to reflect our new name. There is no action needed by you.

  1. What should I do if I have questions about the rebrand?

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the rebrand, please reach out to your attorney or contact our office directly at info@impactmatters.com. We are here to assist you and provide any additional information you may need.

  1. Will there be any changes to fees or billing structures?

There will be no changes to our fees or billing structures as a result of the rebrand.

  1. Are there any new values or priorities reflected in the rebrand?

No, our rebrand just better emphasizes our existing dedication to our clients and community. Our name may have changed, but our core principles have not. Impact Matters will continue to:

    • serve our community, by not just helping our clients but by also being conscious of the context and communities that they come from and seek to serve;
    • meet our clients where they are—physically, strategically, and creatively;
    • position ourselves as a broader community resource; and
    • build sustainable relationships of trust, openness, mutual respect, and accountability.

  1. How can I stay updated on the firm’s rebranding progress?

Clients can stay updated by visiting our website, reading email updates, and following us on LinkedIn @impactmatterslaw and on Instagram @impactmatterslaw. We are also planning client engagement events to showcase our rebrand.

  1. Will I continue to work with the same team of staff and attorneys?

Yes, our staff and attorneys remain the same. The rebrand is focused on our name, visual, and communicative identity rather than changes in personnel. Your trusted team will continue to be here for you.
