Obran Cooperative
Obran Cooperative is a worker-owned cooperative holding company rooted in the values of social justice and equity. It prioritizes the economic advancement of its worker-owners and has championed marginalized groups as core collaborators since its founding in 2018. Expanding through both acquisitions and internally developed businesses, Obran has a portfolio of companies operating in three focus areas: healthcare, employment services, and logistics. Impact Matters has partnered with the internal legal team at Obran to acquire multiple businesses while expanding membership in the cooperative to the employees from these businesses. We also work closely with Obran’s board of directors (which is elected by employees) to ensure that Obran’s internal corporate governance and operations are not only legally compliant in the multiple states in which they operate, but also remain aligned with their mission and values.
